Nothing is more relaxing than a southern porch on a crisp fall day. So on Day 9 of my 13 Days of Halloween, I’m customizing my back porch into a restful sitting area for my witchy friends. Gone are the high humidity and temperatures, and you can smell the changing leaves, so it’s a perfect time to come ‘Sit a Spell’.
You can have a seat anywhere. There’s a nice gliding settee on one end…
…and a swivel rocker and lounge chair on the other.
Not to mention the comfy sofa. To make the area a little more festive, I’ve brought out my best fall and Halloween pillows.
There’s a crow and owl to greet us as we sit.
I’ve put some fresh pansies in the witch’s brew cauldron along with spooky candles to celebrate your arrival;
Hung matching witches wreaths…
… and added fresh mums and witch statue atop the garden bench.
I’ve even added some Halloween decorations to the bakers rack to make you feel at home.
I was hoping you could stay for brunch. I’ve set the table for two.
I know orange and black are your favorite colors.
Just for you, fresh flowers, and my best ‘bone’ china.
What time will be flying in?
I forgot to ask, did you make the witch wreaths? They are adorable!
Pinky, I wish I could say I made them but I’m not very crafty. They are a knock-off of the Grandin Road wreaths from JoAnn Fabrics for a much lower price.
OMGoodness I have such porch envy!!! I have always wanted a porch, I guess it is not to be:( I have a paio, a lovely one but not a porch:) I would LOVE to sit a spell there with you. This is my first time visiting but I will now follow you. Everything is BEAUTIFUL!!! XO, Pinky
Thank you, Pinky.
I love your porch. I could definitely “sit a spell” there.
I’m from Alabama too. I would love to know where you are from.
Bonnie:
Thanks for your kind comment and glad to meet a fellow Alabamian. I’m from the Huntsville area, what about you? I’ve visited ‘Living with Thanksgiving’ several times but it never occurred to me that you are blogging from Alabama too. Cheri
Looks great Cheri, I’ll be right over!!! Love your pillows!!
Come on over, I’ll open up some Dark Horse!
