In preparing for tomorrow, I was looking for some interesting Thanksgiving tablescape ideas. This reminded me of last year’s Thanksgiving tablescape and I though I would share since I consider it one of my better endeavors. I really liked the color combination of orange and green and the set of individual pumpkin tureens.
The table linens consist of Williams-Sonoma Botanic Pumpkin placemats & napkins. The dinnerware stack begins with a green wood charger from Pier 1. An off-white dinner plate and individual pumpkin soup tureens from HomeGoods are layered atop the charger.
The sterling silver flatware is a family heirloom from my mother-in-law. It is Gorham’s Fairfax pattern. If you look closely, you can see my set has been engraved and monogrammed. Fairfax is a wonderful pattern for its geometric simplicity.
I made placecard holders using pumpkins I had on hand and name cards I made in Photoshop. Individual pumpkins/gourds are typically available from craft stores such as Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Jo-Ann Fabrics.
The centerpiece is a soup tureen in the same pattern as the individual tureens. It is elevated on a cake stand and flanked with a Thanksgiving wreath and plaid bow.
Sitting on either side of the centerpiece are two pumpkin topiaries. These were acquired from TJMaxx years ago. I put them in the green ceramic flower pots, also acquired from TJMaxx.
Here’s a photo from the end of the table. I typically have a crowd so I try to purchase dinnerware in sets of 12.
I’m looking forward to another blessed Thanksgiving and wishing the same for you.
